TeethXpress Implants

If you are missing teeth or want a more permanent alternative to braces, dental implants may be the ideal treatment for you. Dental implants are more comfortable, durable, and natural-feeling than other tooth replacement options. At Smiles on the Boulevard, we are proud to offer TeethXpress dental implants. Whether you are missing one, or all of your teeth, we can help you smile with confidence again!

TeethXpress_Dental_ImplantsWhat Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are small titanium posts that are attached to the jawbone beneath the gums. As you heal, these posts begin to fuse with the bone and act as an artificial tooth root system. This fusion not only makes prosthetic teeth more stable, but it can also promote bone growth and prevent your jaw from becoming damaged over time.

After your mouth has healed and your implants are stable, we can attach prosthetic teeth to the implant posts above the gum line. Because implants act as artificial roots, they evenly distribute the pressure from your bite to prevent your jaw and any natural teeth from becoming damaged. Implant-supported tooth replacements are durable, long-lasting, and allow patients to maintain a normal diet. You can enjoy a more natural-looking and feeling smile with dental implants.

What Are the Benefits of Dental Implants?

Dental implants can beautifully restore the appearance and function of your smile when you have one or more missing teeth. At Smiles on the Boulevard, we use TeethXpress to replace missing teeth. With this treatment, we can place beautiful new teeth onto your implants in just a few short hours. Implants are strong and durable, so you don’t have to change your diet or worry about your teeth moving around as you eat. Because TeethXpress implants are made with such high-quality materials, your new teeth will look and feel natural!

In addition to looking and feeling great, dental implants protect your jaw and any natural teeth from damage. Because dentures sit on the surface of the gums, they put a lot of pressure on your jawbones. Over time, your bone may erode and cause significant changes in the appearance of your face and smile. Although dental bridges are not as damaging to your jaw, because they do not have an artificial root system, they can put unnecessary pressure on the surrounding teeth. Dental implants provide the extra support needed to keep the rest of your mouth in good health.

What Does the TeethXpress Procedure Involve?

Dr. Hawkins will begin your treatment with an examination and consultation. If you are eligible to receive dental implants, she will refer you to a specialized dental surgeon for your implant placement. It may take anywhere from four to six months for your mouth to heal after your surgery.

Once you are ready for your new teeth, Dr. Hawkins will schedule a follow-up appointment. Depending on how many teeth need to be replaced, Dr. Hawkins and her team will design a set of artificial teeth. She will attach your new teeth to the implants with a series of small screws and posts. Once your new teeth are in place, she will place a composite resin over the screws to ensure your teeth look and feel natural. After the resin has hardened, Dr. Hawkins will make any necessary adjustments and will polish your new teeth. In just a few hours, you will have a new, beautiful smile!
